Sunday Funday Sounds Like Fun

I guess I should have expected something like this existed around here, but it was still surprising to hear about it. Sunday Funday. It's not hanging out with friends watching the big game or going to the beach. According to an interview on the news after an unfortunate injury, Sunday Funday is going to church, riding motorcycles, and shooting guns. A recent Sunday's shooting fun resulted in several homes and a person getting shot. Fun.

The news report didn't say if the homes belonged to the shooters or whether the human victim was also a shooter, but it all adds up to Sunday Dumbday. I have to wonder if this is a ministry at a local church or some kind of Meetup group of church, motorcycle, and gun enthusiasts, but I can only hope that the marksmen improve their aim before they cruise through my neighborhood.

Perhaps these gentlemen need to set clear goals for their Sunday Fundays. For example, they could ride their motorcycles to several churches first in order to fully repent. And then they could ride their choppers to shooting ranges that exist for the purpose of safely shooting guns at targets. Or someone's farm instead of someone's backyard.

Maybe the motorcycles are the problem, since any rider knows you're limited by roads. The Sunday Funday club might need to invest in giant pickup trucks so that they're shooting guns in the middle of fields after some muddin rather than from the shoulder of a state highway. They could also go in together on a boat in order to sail a dozens of miles into the ocean to shoot at gasoline cans or some such nonsense.
